Non-perturbative propagators and dimension 2 condensate in Yang-Mills theory
Various condensates are related to nonperturbative properties of QCD. The importance of the condensates such as 〈FF 〉 and 〈q̄q〉 are wellknown. Though the dimension two operators such as mass terms are not BRST invariant in Yang-Mills (YM) theory, it was pointed out recently that these operators contain a gauge invariant physical part and that a special combination of them can be (on-shell) BRST ...

Non-renormalizable models are traditionally ignored in high energy physics due to their lack of predictive power. In fact, one needs infinitely many counter terms and renormalization conditions to render these theories well defined. In the framework of the renormalization group [1] one usually identifies the ultraviolet fixed point, where the correlation length diverges with the renormalized th...
متن کاملYang-Mills Propagators and QCD ∗
We present a strong coupling expansion that permits to develop analysis of quantum field theory in the infrared limit. Application to a quartic massless scalar field gives a massive spectrum and the propagator in this regime. We extend the approach to a pure Yang-Mills theory obtaining analogous results. The gluon propagator is compared satisfactorily with lattice results and similarly for the ...
متن کاملComments on Perturbative Dynamics of Non-Commutative Yang-Mills Theory
We study the U(N) non-commutative Yang-Mills theory at the one-loop approximation. We check renormalizability and gauge invariance of the model and calculate the one-loop beta function. The interaction of the SU(N) gauge bosons with the U(1) gauge boson plays an important role in the consistency check. In particular, the SU(N) theory by itself is not consistent. We also find that the θ → 0 limi...
متن کاملPropagators in Yang-Mills theory for different gauges
Green’s functions are gauge-dependent quantities. Thus, the manifestation of confinement in these correlation functions also depends on the gauge. Here we use lattice gauge theory to study the gluon and the ghost propagators in a gauge (the so-called λ -gauge) interpolating between the Landau and the Coulomb gauge. Results are compared to the usual minimal Landau gauge.
